Claire Vallée, the first chef in the world to earn a Michelin star for 100% plant-based cuisine (ONA in Arès), opened a six-seat table d'hôtes in a renovated Trentemoult house in summer 2026. With no sign or shop front, the address is only given on booking, for a tasting experience themed on the animal kingdom, "Metazoa".

At the far end of the quay, under a lime tree, Le Petit Courant is a small bar right on the Loire, known for natural wines and sunsets over Chantenay on the opposite bank. City guide WIK Nantes calls it Trentemoult's "place to be", drawing every generation.

Right on the quay facing Nantes, La Guinguette keeps the bistro spirit of the old fishing village alive, with a bar counter made from a real boat hull built by local craftsmen. Founded in 1941 in a red house on the Loire, Le Poussin Rouge took back its original name in 2019 after spells as Quai 7 and Le Trent'. The menu mixes fish from the auction, market produce and local ingredients, with views of Nantes from the pergola, the ground-floor room or the large upstairs dining room.

In the heart of Haute-Île, another former fishing village on the Loire, Les Isles is a family-style bistro with two dining rooms and a large terrace shaded by a century-old Virginia creeper.
