Lives and works in Trentemoult (Atelier Côté 3bis).
A former professional photographer who has lived in Trentemoult for more than twenty years, Pierre Gaigneux works with the camera obscura and wheels around a pinhole darkroom mounted on a cart. His series range from spare plant triptychs (grass, a stem, poppies) to repainted prints in which the photograph dissolves into paint, by way of figures captured at Mont Saint-Michel. At his Atelier Côté 3bis on rue Bruneau he hosts the 'Dire le voir' exhibition series run by the Accès association. In 2022 he and Sylvia Boumendil created the Duo festival, which pairs two disciplines in the village's nooks and corners.
