16 rue Alexandra-David-Néel, Trentemoult, 44400 Rezé
Studio no.6
'Each of my drawings is often a little piece of a tale': trained as an architect and urban planner, Marie-Cécile Distinguin has devoted the last twenty years to painting and illustration, in a house by the Loire 'that looks a bit like [her] drawings'. Black forests dotted with orange fruit, wolves and red hoods, fish among leaves: her images fill children's books (Mille et une familles, Le fil d'argent, Grâce à mes chaussures à talons hauts…) and limited-edition postcards. She also builds relief box theatres, like dioramas, and pulls lithographs that her collages make one of a kind. She runs writing workshops and shares studio no. 6 with Thierry Rabot. She also teaches: visual-arts and writing workshops, classes and courses for children and adults. For dates and booking, contact her directly.
