Trentemoult, Norkiouse, Haute-Île, Basse-Île
Trentemoult (or Trentemoux), Norkiouse and the Île des Chevaliers (with Basse-Île and Haute-Île) formed an archipelago cut off by the Seil. Trentemoult, a rocky island inhabited since Antiquity, became after 1850 the home port of deep-sea captains (Cape Horner houses); from 1887 to 1958 'roquio' steamboats brought Nantes folk to its open-air taverns.
