In her small office on the Haute-Île, Camille Trivun created Yokow, her responsible jeans brand, in September 2019. A stylist and pattern-maker in ready-to-wear, she quit in 2017, bothered by “the other side of the scenes”: human and environmental consequences and the frantic pace of collections. Her models carry women's or film names, such as “Thelma et Louise”, “Janis” or “Simone”. Having found no workshop in France, the jeans are made in Tunisia by a family company with eco-friendly rinsing: “between two and four litres of water, against hundreds for a classic pair”. All the photo shoots are done in Rezé.
