Silted harbour: the metropolis changes approach
Illustrazione· Ouest-France
Trentemoult's small 42-berth harbour, created in the late 1970s, has always silted up: at low tide it's unreachable, and boats only get out at big tides, about once a month.
The last big dredging campaigns (spring 2014, winter 2019-2020) each removed over 15,000 m³ of sediment at great cost.
In late 2024 the metropolis announced a new approach: smaller, more frequent, targeted operations.
