“Bonsoir public chéri”: Joe, la Rosita, tells her street-theatre life
Illustrazione· Rezé Mensuel n°151 (septembre 2020), p. 25 — Ville de Rezé
Joëlle Legua, who has lived in Trentemoult for about thirty years, has written the story of her life, closely tied to the history of street theatre since the 1970s. She came to Nantes with Royal de Luxe, of which she was a member from the very beginning, and has been an actress, director, author and singer, as “Joe” or as the extravagant singer Rosita. Her book, “Bonsoir public chéri”, came out in late 2019 in 110 copies, handmade with friends (folding, sewing, gluing, binding) and distributed at a pay-what-you-want price. Her daughter Lola, who set up a community print shop, produced the book. A reissue is expected, Rezé Mensuel noted in September 2020.
