Co-founder of the Duo festival; has shown work and run workshops in Trentemoult.
An artist, author and biographer, Sylvia Boumendil takes writing off the page: words embroidered on fabric, stitched letters, hanging textile installations. Her project 'La fleur au fusil' produced embroidered correspondence shown at the Hôtel du Département de Loire-Atlantique (2015), and 'Je tricote, pas toi ?' spells out phrases in cross-stitch. In 2022 she and Pierre Gaigneux co-founded Trentemoult's Duo festival (their duo 'Palabres exquis'), where she presented 'Avec ou sans ailes' in 2025. She also runs writing workshops, writes life stories and has published books such as Ma petite femme adorée.
