Visual art, reverse graffiti
Exhibited in Trentemoult (Duo 2026).
A Trentemoult resident who trained at the art schools of Nantes and Lorient, Philippe Chevrinais practises reverse graffiti, or subtractive drawing: with water, stencils and a pressure washer he removes grime from walls to reveal light, fleeting landscapes and faces. A collaborative artist, he always involves local residents, as at Rezé Château in 2023, where a mural revealed portraits of tenants. At the 2026 Duo festival he and comics artist Jérôme Mulot gathered the debris left by the Loire's tides for 'Ce qui reste, ce qu'on laisse'. He also teaches visual arts in Rezé.
