Born in Vannes in 1967, Kader Slidjia was first an actor with the Théâtre du Fil, then trained at the Lorient art school. He moved to Nantes in 1996 and set up his studio in Trentemoult, where he works and also hosts other artists. A painter and sculptor whose work often goes back to clay, a material tied to his childhood, he has exhibited in France and Morocco, designed sets (notably for the Tissé Métisse festival), and teaches art workshops for all ages.
