Héloïse Chapellier has been drawing and painting since childhood. A graduate of the Institut supérieur des arts appliqués in Paris, she first specialised in fashion and textiles, then returned to drawing, painting and colour. Based on rue des Sept-Maries in Trentemoult, she draws a sensitive, dreamlike world from nature: watercolour, botanical prints in acrylic or ink, pastel, gouache and cyanotypes, where insects, landscapes and flowers meet. The Île d'Yeu, a place she has loved since childhood, feeds the work, as do the plants along the Loire. In her studio, no. 1 of the Ateliers nocturnes, the whole is alive, colourful and delicate; she takes commissions.
