On Sunday 22 September 2019, the port of Trentemoult hosted the 129th edition of its Regatta. The programme included races for all types of boats and the inter-association challenge, in which six crews mixing seasoned and beginner sailors competed in “seils”, including a crew of municipal staff and one of firefighters. Activities included rowing events, manoeuvring and slalom tests, children's “accrovoile” climbing on masts, sandpits in dinghies, a miniature-fleet pond and the brass band Le Grandmachinchose. The free event is run by the Sèvre-et-Loire sailing centre. Born in the late nineteenth century, these regattas are a reminder that the village has always kept a close bond with the Loire and with recreational sailing.
