“Femmes de Loire”: eighteen portraits along the water by Edmond Guibert

Edmond Guibert's latest book, “Femmes de Loire”, gathers eighteen women from varied backgrounds who share a strong bond with the river: a naval officer, a navibus captain, a storyteller… Each portrait pairs a photo or painting chosen from the author's vast documentary collection with a text more affectionate and poetic than his earlier technical books. In all there are “really 20 women” in the book, counting Frédérique Lamy, who wrote the preface, and Isabelle Cahier, who posed for the cover. Published by Victor Stanne and in bookshops at €30, it was featured in Rezé Mensuel in October 2024.
