Renovated and enlarged, the Trentemoult slipway has been operational since late September 2025. Doubled in width and lengthened, it is now 15 metres wide and 55 metres long, with lighting added. “Before, we could only take two sail-and-oar boats out or in at the same time. Now five boats can set off on the Loire at any hour, without waiting for half-tide or high tide,” explains Yvon Kerhervé, president of the Sèvre et Loire sailing centre. Discussed during the 2016 great debate on the Loire, the works were funded by Nantes Métropole and required compensatory measures for two protected plants.
